Appeal to Cartoon Network: Stop Censorship

Here are some things you can do to help:

• Leave Cartoon Network Feedback. (Category: Programming- Adventure Time)
  Try not to flame them, but explain what the episode and the subtext mean to you, and why you want to support the episode.  Tell them we do NOT appreciate them cutting off discussion about the possible queer relationships in the show by removing the “Mathematical!” video.  They need to know there is support for the PB/M ship, one-sided, subtexty, or otherwise. 

• Leave Feedback on the “Mathematical” Youtube page.  They are the ones who posted the video about the shipping which Cartoon Network had removed.  We should applaud them for not treating the subtext as a taboo subject and treating it like any other relationship.  

• Reblog this “Mathematical” video that Cartoon Network forced Fredator to remove.

• Reblog these download links for the full episode and the removed video, so that we have backups in case they try to censor anything any further.

Please reblog this post, so other people can help.

The Mathematical recap of “What Was Missing” was taken down by Frederator Studios, not Cartoon Network.

Someone isn’t telling the full story. I have the feeling someone is being forced to take the blame to save face for a higher up, and I really hope CN isn’t pressuring them to reply this way.

I just checked and their comment is still there, on page 23 of the comment section currently:

Mathematical: Cartoon Network is having some trouble with the What Was Missing video! Sorry guys, we’re trying to get it back up.

And I had their youtube page open all day, so I just capped that one status update (which is no longer there)

Mathematical: So our latest episode has been pulled down (at least for now), but it’s fine. We here at Mathematical always support and love all excitement, fanfics and fan art for Bubbline and anything your imaginations can come up with. It’s not necessarily indicative of what’s to happen on Adventure Time, but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about it! Mathematical is always fighting for you Adventure Time fans and you can always feel safe to ship any characters you want to! We love you!

So I don’t know :/ it seems like they did want to have that video put back up earlier, but this is all very confusing :(

I just wrote a long email to Eric at Fredator, hopefully we’ll get a more detailed explanation.

So now there is controversy regarding Cartoon Network probably silencing discussion about Bubblegum/Marceline being a thing that could possibly be implied on Adventure Time. This is pretty heartbreaking after suggestions that a girl loving another girl could actually maybe happen in canon (and the heavy amount of subtext in the lastest episode, “What Was Missing”.) This post has a link to Mathematical’s removed behind-the-scenes vlog for the episode, which talked about the subtext and invited fan response regarding the possible Bubbline pairing.
